I have bet on millions of rounds of vingt-et-un. I started working my way into the gambling dens when I was 16. I have wagered on online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. With all that said I have still lost a lot of bankroll at blackjack. The gambling dens have made it nearly impossible to beat the house.
I still like the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over the years I have bet on a type of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get rich with this tactic or defeat the house, however you will experience a lot of fun. This method is centered on the idea that 21 appears to be a game of runs. When you’re hot your hot, and when you’re not you are NOT!
I play basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I do not win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I lose again I wager the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. Once I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the wager back down to the original value.
I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets very thrilling on occasion. If you win a few hands in a row your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had great streaks a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Palms a couple of years back with $750 after 45 minutes using this method! And a couple of days ago in Atlantic City I left a table with $1200!
You have to understand that you can say good-bye to much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be aghast at the runs you notice wagering this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a $5 table.
Bet $5
Take $5 paid-out to you, leave the original five dollar bet
Bet five dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 10 dollar
Wager ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 10 dollar wager
Bet $10
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Bet 20 dollar
Take $20 paid to you, leave the initial $20 wager
Wager twenty dollar
Leave $20 paid to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Bet 40 dollar
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the initial forty dollar wager
Wager forty dollar
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 80 dollar
Bet 80 dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the initial $80 bet
Wager 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the initial one hundred and 60 dollar wager
If you departed at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!
It is difficult to go on a streak this long, but it can happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and drop your wager or the end result won’t be the same.
